I went to Dr. Krohse when I saw that he performs ART, after I had read about ART. I thought that treatment might help me. I have been dealing with plantar fasciitis since 2004. I am a former collegiate distance runner and try to still enjoy running. It is hard to enjoy the great sport of running when you have something hurting you each step. I had tried acupuncture, physical therapy, shoe inserts, and cortisone shots. So, you could say I’ve tried about everything to get healthy.
Dr. Krohse did a thorough job of evaluating my posture and my feet. After each treatment, I felt my feet getting better. After two weeks of treatment, I was running pain free for the first time in 5 years. I know at times the scar tissue will build up and it will be painful but I know Dr. Krohse will be able to use his techniques with ART to get me back running. I would recommend ART to my athletes that I train and to any athlete who has pain that would benefit from this treatment.

I came to the Des Moines area to compete in the NCAA Track and Field Championships. Unfortunately, my degenerative disk disease was causing severe pain in the lower back. I had heard good things about ART and Dr. Krohse was the only one in the area who specialized in it. He was able to get me an appointment on short notice before my competition and it worked wonders.
Not only did Dr. Krohse relieve the pain in my back and increase my mobility, he also performed ART on my knees and IT bands which I have struggled with as well over past years. After the treatment I had more mobility in my knees back than I had felt in months. I went on the next day to compete in the Championships and earned my first ever NCAA All-America honors. (Marcus' throw was 5 feet further than his personal record -Dr. Krohse)
Anyone living in the area, or just in town for a visit that is experiencing back pain or any other chronic pains should schedule an appointment with Dr. Krohse. I have received injections in my knees for three years and physical therapy on my back and nothing has helped either as much as the ART with Dr. Krohse.

I had been to chiropractors before with so-so results, but when my low-back pain landed me in urgent care, I decided to look again. (Muscle relaxers are not my idea of a solution.) As a cycling instructor and kickboxer, I don't like to sit still. I found Dr. Krohse from an online search. His testimonials sounded promising, and as an athlete himself, I thought he would understand my need to keep moving. After an extremely thorough exam, Dr. Krohse began to treat and greatly reduce my low-back pain. Not only that, but he also used the active release technique to decrease my migraines and knee pain. I'm back to kickboxing and teaching cycling class pain-free! I've recommended Dr. Krohse to many friends. He produces positive results, and he's a great guy.

I have been having problems with shin splints since summer, 2007. I run cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track for my college and they had tried electric stim, ultrasound, ice, and many other things that didn't really help. I took some time off and started running again at the start of summer, 2008. I could still feel some pain when I ran. David suggested the Active Release treatment he offers and after my first visit I felt the difference. I have been getting it done once a week and it seems to be working!
(Dr. Krohse) explains everything very well and in my experience chiropractic work has really helped me.

I came in for what I thought was a chronic hamstring pain that I could not get to go away. From November of 2007 until October 1st the level of pain was getting to be so high that I was ready to give up my only real hobby – running. Then I meet Dr. David after a running event. He uses a couple of terms describing my condition and believes he can help. It seems like a futile effort but low and behold within only a couple of sessions the problem was going away! While visiting him I also mentioned my sore knees. With therapy and alignment that too has also dissipated. Can I believe it? Hardly not, but I have to; the pain is gone within one month! Unbelievable - thanks a bunch!
(To someone considering trying care with Dr. Krohse, I’d say) What are you going to lose? Money, time. If he can help your body do what it’s supposed to do, let me ask you why wouldn’t you see him, unless you like pain.

I had the privilege of being invited to a BNI (Business Networking International) West-End Chapter meeting where I first met Dr. David Krohse. Dr. Krohse gave a presentation on ART (Active Release Technique) for knees. Now I must tell you I was not a big fan of going to a doctor for any medical conditions. I tell you this so you will understand the depth of pain I experienced from a high school basketball injury in 1988. The only remedy I was aware of at the time was surgery. Since I knew I would not play basketball again, I did not force the issue. Thus I went for the next 20 years in knee pain. The pain continued to get worse. It became difficult for me to run and to exercise.

The fact that I was Dr. David Krohse's very first patient when he started adjusting as a student at Palmer College shows the trust I have in him. Since that first adjustment, I have seen Dr. Krohse develop into an outstanding doctor with a keen focus on getting rapid results and creating an excellent chiropractic experience for his patients.
Recently, I sprained my ankle while playing basketball. Dr. Krohse examined my it and tested the muscles in my lower leg. He found that one of the muscles was not functioning fully because of a misalignment in my ankle. He explained that the muscle was very important to keep me from spraining that it again. He adjusted my ankle and the muscle function returned to full strength. Dr. Krohse gave me some recommendations for strengthening the area and told me it would take some time to heal. Soon after that my foot doctor came through the drive-through of my restaurant, and I asked him if he had any recommendations to speed up my ankle healing. He replied, “You could get it adjusted by a chiropractor.” “I already did,” I replied. I'm happy to say my ankle is now stable and I'm back on the basketball court.
I'm excited to see Dr. Krohse's practice quickly grow! I'd tell him good luck but he doesn't need it.

I met David Krohse on a bicycle ride on Orcas Island on what turned out to be a very cold and eventually very wet spring day. David and my husband and I struck up a friendship and after our next meeting I set up an appointment to see David professionally.
It had been nearly 30 years since I was injured from a bicycle accident. I had been experiencing discomfort in my lower back and a limited range of movement of my neck. I set up an appointment, and after x-rays and examination, David set me up with a series of appointments designed to relieve these symptoms.
The appointments were fairly brief and happily pain free…and I enjoyed always a pleasant conversation with David. In a short time I was experiencing less discomfort and free movement of my neck, so I feel the treatments were worth every bit of time and money.
My biggest surprise came after my first or second visit. I had a breakthrough at my Yoga class…I was able to hold a balance position that had been difficult for me, and soon after was able to do the “bird” pose, which at age 60, I did not expect to achieve!
If someone is considering chiropractic care with Dr. Krohse, I would encourage them to do so without hesitation! David is both a compassionate and skilled diagnostician/practitioner.

My experience with Chiropractic care began after I felt a pain in my lower back while helping a friend move some furniture. It really seemed like no big deal at the time, however I was at the end of a 4-month Marathon training program and was about to attempt to qualify for the Boston Marathon.
I was unsure about seeing a Chiropractor because I had heard “once you start going, you have to keep going.” So I put it off. One night while walking in the gym, still in pain, I told my wife that I was going to have to do something before the race. By coincidence, Dr. Krohse was set up at the gym that night offering free back exams. We met and I explained my situation. He ran me through a few strength tests and offered to see me the next day at his office for a more complete exam. We made the appointment, took some x-rays and started adjustments.
A few days before the Marathon, my injury became worse. I was in extreme pain and could barely walk. I gave up the idea of running this race, however, Dr. Krohse did not. He began seeing me twice a day and even opened the office on Thanksgiving and the day after to help me. I went to the Marathon, was able to jog around (which was a major improvement from just 3-days before), however decided not to run.
Afterwards I began seeing Dr. Krohse on a regular basis and continued to improve through his adjustments, and exercises that he strongly encouraged. I became stronger, the office visits grew further apart, and then ended altogether. Today, almost exactly one year later, I am again at the end of a 4-month training program. I am running better than ever and feel stronger than ever.
I would like to thank Dr. Krohse not only for helping me recover but also for his determination and attitude through the entire process. Dr. Krohse became part of my team and also a friend. Thank you David!

I have gone to one other chiropractic clinic a few years back, but did not find I was being helped, so this process was quickly removed from my list. Around February of 2007, I started getting pain in my left shoulder, and went to my regular family doctor, who proceeded to put me on medication, basically to help with the pain. I have been playing racquetball for many years and have not had this problem until 2007.
David Krohse was recommended to me, and I started my treatments around June 22. He first explained how he would treat me. At this time I was not able to lift my left arm over my head. After the first treatment I did not feel much difference, however as we progressed through the next three or four sessions, I began to notice lots of improvement. He gave me a set of exercises, to help get more mobility in my shoulder, which it did.
The 20th of July was my last session, and I was able to get back to playing racquetball again. With my faith back in chiropractic medicine, at least through David Krohse, I would certainly recommend him to anyone.
Thank you David!
Ps. By the way I am 78 years young.

I first went to Dr. Krohse after feeling a tingling in my finger. My first visit consisted of the typical get to know you and figure out what the problem was. He then proceeded to set me up with 3 appointments for the first week and then 2 the next couple of weeks there after. In the short time that he saw me, he took the tingling away and straightened my back out. I was 100% satisfied with the results in which Dr. Krohse helped me with.
If you're considering Dr. Krohse to become your chiropractor, I would strongly urge you to go forth in his care. Not only is he a great chiropractor, he's a caring man. To me Dr. Krohse is one of the best chiropractors I've been to.
